Ernest O. Leidenberger, 89, widower of
Violet M. (Schott) of Frederick passed
away on Monday, December 19, 2011 in the
Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in
Limerick, he was the son of the late
Ernest L. and Ellen C. (Swenson)
Leidenberger.
Ernest was a 1940 graduate of Royersford High
School. He was a World War II Navy Veteran.
He was the former Linfield Postmaster. He was a
Senior Construction Detailer for Philadelphia Electric
for 30 years before retiring in 1978. He last worked
as a consultant for American Machine & Tool
in Royersford.
He was also the president of Limerick Township
Home and School League, president of Limerick
Township School Authority and president of the
Linfield Fire Company.
Ernest was a member of Linfield United
Church of Christ, Linfield.
He was survived by his daughter,
Virginia A. Bosler of Gilbertsville;
two grandsons, Colin W., husband of
Cheryl A. Bosler of Whitehall, and
Trevor T., husband of Bonnie J. Bosler
of Boyertown; three great-grandchildren,
Timothy A. and Taylor A. Bosler,
both of Whitehall, and Allyson K. Bosler of
Boyertown. He was predeceased by three brothers,
Leroy, Carl and Francis.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday,
December 28, 2011 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral
Home, Boyertown. Internment was in Limerick
Church Burial Grounds.
